E HOA - FRIENDS OF BROAD BAY SCHOOL

Friends of Broad Bay School (FBBS) is our whānau association. We bring together the strengths of families and the wider community to support our kura, providing resources and opportunities that enrich learning for our tamariki.

Our focus is on enhancing cultural, sporting, and educational experiences. We do this by backing initiatives from staff, students, and whānau, as well as organising and sponsoring events that strengthen both our kura and community.

HOW CAN I BE INVOLVED?

HUI/MEETINGS

Our hui and fundraising events are a great way to connect with our school community. All whānau and caregivers are welcome — join in as much or as little as suits you, with no pressure to be on the committee.

BECOME A COMMITTEE MEMBER

Anyone can join the FBBS committee. Meetings are held once a month during term time (in person or online). The workload is light, and you’re welcome to come along and see what it’s like before committing.

STAY UP TO DATE VIA MESSENGER

We keep in touch through a Messenger chat for quick updates, sharing ideas, and voting on decisions. We also send agendas, minutes, and notices by email.

TAKE ACTION

Got an idea for a project, activity, or resource that would benefit our tamariki? We’d love to hear it. If it supports your whānau, chances are it will help others too!
