After School Care Coordinator 2026 – Broad Bay & Portobello Schools Collaboration
10 hours per week

Do you love creating fun, welcoming spaces for tamariki? Kererū Club is seeking a caring, organised, and creative coordinator to lead our after-school programme from 3:00–5:00pm during term time. The programme is hosted at Broad Bay School in collaboration with Portobello School, supporting tamariki from both communities.

This is a hands-on, independent role where you’ll plan and run weekly themed activities, prepare kai, supervise free play, and help tamariki feel at home after the school day. Experience working with children is essential.

You’ll work closely with our tumuaki/principal to plan and coordinate the programme, build warm relationships with tamariki and whānau, and ensure safe, smooth drop-offs and pick-ups each day.

If you’re reliable, enthusiastic, and love designing activities that spark curiosity and joy, we’d love to hear from you. Please send your CV, a short cover letter, and the completed application form to principal@broadbay.school.nz

We proudly pay the Living Wage. A Police Check and the right to work in Aotearoa are required.

Applications close Friday 5th December. Candidates must be available for interviews the week of 15th December. Position commences Monday 2nd February 2026.

If you have any questions please contact Broad Bay School 03 478 0706.
