Learning Support

Learning doesn't come easy to everyone. ​

Sometimes it takes a bit of extra. Extra time. Extra practice. Extra care.

That's why our smaller class sizes make such a difference to our tamariki. We know more 1-1 teacher time is best for learning, so we make sure we make the most of being a little school by putting the extra time into our learning programmes, taking care to ensure every person gets quality instruction with their teacher in smaller numbers so tamariki can take risks, ask questions, and get 1-1 support where needed. We work from a strengths-based approach, designing engaging learning programmes and providing resources that meet students' developmental needs. 

We offer:​

• More 1-1 teacher time.
• Access to assistive technology if required.
• Support from wider services eg Resource Teacher of Learning & Behaviour.
• Teacher aide support where appropriate.
• Individual Education Plans.
• Other learning and behaviour supports.
